Saginaw YMCA Renovations

R.C. Hendrick & Son, Inc. was hired by the Saginaw YMCA to serve as the Construction Manager / Constructor for their $4.5 Million Renovation Project.

Project Highlights:

• Demolition of the original six-story housing unit while the remainder of the building stayed in operation.

• Added areas for youth enrichment activities, a conference center, child-watch area, café, and workout area.

• Increased community involvement by renovating the existing building instead of relocating the facility to the suburbs.

• The renovation of the Saginaw YMCA transformed and revitalized a 1950’s era building into a modern family-oriented workout facility.

YMCA Pool Renovations

Saginaw, MI

R.C. Hendrick & Son, Inc. the General Contractor for the $1.3 Million Pool Renovation Project at the Saginaw YMCA.

The project included reconfiguring the existing deep pool into a shallow pool, removing the existing shallow pool to build a new deep pool and construction of a Special-Needs Locker Room and a Therapeutic Spa.

All ceilings, wall coverings, and lighting were replaced and a new air circulating and heating system was installed.  The new shallow pool measures 24’ x 60’ and varies in depth from 2.5’ to 3.5’.  The new deep pool measures 36’ x 75’ with a depth from 3.5’ to 9.5’.

Bavarian Inn Lodge Pools

Frankenmuth, MI

R.C. Hendrick & Son, Inc. was the General Contractor for the Bavarian themed indoor water park, mega-arcade and an 18-hole indoor mini golf course. There are five indoor pools and three whirlpools for overnight guests at the Lodge.

There is one pool and whirlpool reserved especially for adults without children. A unique aspect to these pools is that no two pools are alike. Next to the mini golf course is a pool with a 15 foot waterfall.  There is also a motion pool where you can just relax and let the current move you and there are water guns mounted pool side.
