J&D Implement – John Deere Dealership

R.C. Hendrick & Son, Inc. was selected as Design-Build contractor for this new 25,000 SF $1.85 Million dealership facility in the thumb of Michigan.  The groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 13, 2005 on the 20 acre site.  The building was turned over to the owner (100% occupancy) on November 18, 2005.

Project Highlights:

• The project included a CECO Pre Engineered Metal Building, was completed using a Design Build contract and the project was completed in Six (6) Months Time From Start of Design.

Harrisville Harbormaster Building

Harrisville, MI

R.C. Hendrick & Son, Inc. was selected as the General Contractor for the 10,000 SF new Harbormaster Building in Harrisville, MI valued at $915,000.

The former facility at the site was inadequate in a variety of ways.  However, it did house major utilities for more than 50 boat slips.  To relocate utilities would have been a major expense.  The “core” utility area was maintained from the former structure and a beautiful new structure was built around it.

The new building included offices, a multi-purpose room with a Fireplace, showers, restrooms, and a laundry room.  The building also included many low-maintenance finishes like epoxy wall paints and floor coverings.

Harbor Beach District Library

Harbor Beach, MI

R.C. Hendrick & Son, Inc. was selected as the Owner’s Representative for the addition and renovations to the Harbor Beach District Library valued at $917,000.

The project was challenging because it involved major structural renovation to a historic building.  As part of the project, we added an elevator and a new Children’s Library Reading Room. 

R.C. Hendrick is about to begin the second phase of renovations to the library.  We assisted the Owner with securing financing through Rural Development.
